- HOMEGROUP/WORKGROUP configurations: shared network cross-computer file access from within a local (single home or office) network by any computer configured as part of the group. Provides access to Shared Folders available to everyone within the group as well as full-access to a systems file system if the user is aware of the login information for the user account they are attempting to access
- Local network storage array: allows for storing information somewhere else on your local network instead of using the system in use's hard drive; also allows retrieval of the data stored remotely back through network at anytime by anyone authorized to access that data.
